HFM guest at the 29. International Animated Film Festival Stuttgart
The association Haus für Film und Medien Stuttgart e.V. has been working together with the city of Stuttgart for years to construct a film and media house on the site of today's Breuninger parking garage.
In February, the innovative design by the Viennese architectural office Delugan Meissl Associated Architects with Wenzel+Wenzel GmbH, Karlsruhe was unanimously chosen as the winner of the Europe-wide structural design competition.
In the middle of Stuttgart, a public, lively location for interactive engagement with audiovisual media will be created by 2027 - a new, unique urban landmark with extraordinary radiance for the film and media scene as well as the entire urban society.
At HFM @ 29th ITFS, the development, conception, and planned contents of the house as well as the winning design will be presented, and questions will be answered. In particular, the topic "Architecture & Animation" in the future HFM will be discussed and rounded off by a small selection of films.
