In 2024, we're bringing cinema back to the neighborhoods:
HFM is thrilled to once again partner with the Stuttgart Health Department to organize the Stuttgart Film Festival of Generations. From September 27th to November 30th, we warmly invite you to join us as cinema comes directly to Stuttgart's districts and into your neighborhood.
The core of the festival is already in its name: the film festival is made for all generations and aims to strengthen social cohesion while fostering dialogue between citizens, generations, and cultures – because films bring people together.
After each film screening, there will be exciting discussions with the audience and a fantastic accompanying program featuring experts from the fields of senior care, aging research, healthcare, and youth services. This program is designed to initiate enriching exchanges between generations.
Our goal is to transform Stuttgart’s districts into places of communal experiences and promote civic engagement – even in "cinema-free" areas.
